LAKE MANYARA/ SERENGETI/ NGORONGORO CRATER

5 Nights/6 Days

Day 1: Arrival, moving in the Lodge or Hotel. Pre-climb briefing, stay for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: After morning breakfast, transfer to Mt. Kilimanjaro N. Park, meet with the mountain guide and porters at Marangu gate at 1,800m/ 5,900ft. The route begins through the fascinating rain forest to the Mandara Hut 2,700m/ 8,860ft (12 km, approx. 5 hrs walking). Stay overnight.

Day 3: Leave Mandara and follow the ascending path on the open alpine moorlands to Horombo Hut at 3,720m/ 12,200ft (15 km, approx. 6 hrs walking). Stay overnight.

Day 4: Continue pass the cactus like groundsel and the “Last Water”, off the saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi, arriving at Kibo Hut at 4,703m/ 15,430ft (15 km, approx 6 hrs walking). Stay overnight.

Day 5: Early morning start for the summit to reach the Gilman's point at 5,685m/ 18,653ft. Ascending up to the highest peak of Africa “Uhuru Peak”, which stands at 5,896m/ 19,344ft (6 km, approx 5 hrs walking). The descent is less tiring and the night is spent at Horombo Hut.

Day 6: Descent from Horombo Hut down to the Park Gate Marangu. going back to the Lodge or Hotel for dinner and overnight.
